#fallinginthesea #boatproblems We have loads of problems to sort out. Simon fell in the water when a ladder on the quay broke under him. A swim under this circumstances means loosing phone and sunglasses. We broke a blade off the outboard engine prop, and have to replace it on the beach. The Windlass fell apart and we had quite a job putting it back together. We can say that we have had better weeks than this one! We think someone slashed our Highfield when it was moored on a quay. We spend two days in SAN Blas before we go to Panama to buy the cruising permit and do the check in. On the way to Panama we go on a convoy with Sailing Seatramp and SV Notorious. #regatta #rally The Aruba international regatta is just around our boat, how fun is that? A Jet sky accident happened just a few meters from us and we go for help. They hit the boat next door to us and flew over, the Jet Sky disappear and one of the guys was drowning in the water. We take him ashore where on a delicate mission as he had his leg broken. Jessica is learning how to sail so we are telling her the first steps. Fishing line around the prop again, seriously? We go diving in Aruba with Sub-Aruba and organise a beach clean in Surfside. #pirateattack #careful Looking for gas is always a “mare”, but the yacht club will help us this time. A local tried to sell us stitched Courtesy flags but they were to expensive. We use the Laundromat in the yacht club to help us with so much washing. Running out of petrol in the dingy is always fun. We start the preparation on the boat against the pirates. #newplaces #outofthegrid We arrive in St Pierre and go for a little walk in town and check in. We go down the coast to a bigger village and rent a car to go shopping and take Dobby to the Vet. We bring Dobby back to the boat and go again for shopping. We are exhausted by the end of the day with all the jobs and journeys back to the boat. #sewingontheboat #busride We leave Bequia to go to Grenada. Carla makes a Cover to the machete. We have to Check in in two places, that means move the boat to go somewhere else just to finish the process, sometimes it’s not easy! We catch a big Tuna. The bus ride in Grenada is quite fun, loud music and all happens there. We got Kite string around the propellers and the rudder, what a pain to take all off. #stormatsea #badweather When a 14 hour journey turns into 22 hours, what a nightmare going upward with two knots of current against us. That make us arriving to a new place in the middle of the night. Arriving in Saba in the middle of the night made us make a quick decision and go into a very small Harbour. #explore #swimming We go around to Road Town for some shopping and provision.Visiting the caves in Baths is quite incredible. We have to leave the dingy at sea and swim to the beach. Savannah is a beautiful beach and we go for a long walk. In Fat hogs bay we find more cats destroyed by the hurricane, always very sad to see the boats destroyed. #besttime #sailingthebahamas #bluewatersailing We are going aground on the sand banks to clean the bottom of the boat. We are a bit nervous as it is the first time we are doing this but all goes well as you can see on the video. We spent 6 hours, scraping, brushing and cleaning the hull. #divefree #freediving On the way out of Colombia we make a stop in Islas del Rosario. What a beautiful place! We stayed 2 nights and depart to San Blas. On the way Carla caught the biggest fish ever. #regatta #rally The Aruba international regatta is just around our boat, how fun is that? A Jet sky accident happened just a few meters from us and we go for help. They hit the boat next door to us and flew over, the Jet Sky disappear and one of the guys was drowning in the water. We take him ashore where on a delicate mission as he had his leg broken. Jessica is learning how to sail so we are telling her the first steps. Fishing line around the prop again, seriously? We go diving in Aruba with Sub-Aruba and organise a beach clean in Surfside.
